Magical Meat and Potato Stew with Witch's Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 lbs stew meat
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 large potatoes chopped
  • 4 carrots peeled and sliced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¼ cup water

For the witchcraft blessing:

  • A small piece of parchment paper
  • A black pen or marker
  • A handful of dried rosemary
  • A handful of dried thyme
  • A handful of dried bay leaves

Instructions

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the stew meat and cook until browned on all sides.

  • Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  • Add the chopped potatoes and sliced carrots to the pot, followed by the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 2 hours, or until the meat and vegetables are tender.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and 1/4 cup of water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the pot and stir until the gravy thickens.

  • While the stew is simmering, prepare the witchcraft blessing. On the piece of parchment paper, write down a blessing or intention for the stew, such as "May this stew bring warmth, nourishment, and love to all who enjoy it."

  • Sprinkle the dried herbs over the parchment paper, then fold it up and tie it with the string or twine.

  • Place the parchment packet in the pot and let it simmer with the stew for the remaining time.
  • Once the stew is fully cooked, remove the parchment packet and discard it. Serve the stew hot and enjoy the nourishing and magical benefits!
