Equipment

  • Small saucepan

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Myrrh Resin use high quality Commiphora Myrrh Resin
  • 1 cup Distilled Water
  • 1 teaspoon Gum Arabic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Lamp Black or Activated Charcoal Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Honey or Vegetable Glycerin optional for viscosity

Instructions
 

  • Begin by grounding the myrrh resin into a fine powder with the mortar and pestle while reciting:
    "Gift of the earth, essence divine, in this mixture, your power align."
  • Transfer the powdered myrrh to a small saucepan, add the distilled water, and while stirring, speak:
    "By water's flow and myrrh's might, combine your strengths in this rite."
  • Allow the mixture to simmer over low heat for about 30-60 minutes. This will create a myrrh infusion. As it simmers, recite:
    "In this brew, power steep, ready for secrets it will keep."
  • Carefully strain the infusion into a glass container, removing any solid particles. As the clear liquid appears, speak:
    "From solid to liquid, the transformation begins, preparing the vessel for the message it sends."
  • While the infusion is warm, add the gum arabic powder, stirring until it dissolves completely. As you add the gum arabic, say:
    "Bond and bind, let nothing part, hold together, as in art."
  • Add your lamp black or finely ground activated charcoal powder to the mixture while reciting:
    "With black as night, our intent is bound, in this ink, let wisdom be found."
  • Optionally, add the honey or vegetable glycerin for a smoother consistency, and say:
    "With sweetness we merge, flow freely and true, like the sacred words we'll write with you."
  • Stir the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined, and as you do, say:
    "Elements combine, purpose be met, the Elixir of the Sacred Scribe is set."
  • Allow the ink to cool, then transfer it to a small glass jar or inkwell for storage. As you complete the process, affirm:
    "In this ink, our intention lies, ready for use under the skies."
  • Before each use, shake well and speak:
    "Awaken, ink of ancient lore, now we write as those before."

Notes

  • Ensure that the ink is stored in a tightly sealed glass jar or inkwell to prevent it from drying out.
  • The ink should be stored in a cool, dark place when not in use and should be shaken well before each use.
  • Always test a small amount on the intended writing surface before using it in your rituals or ceremonies.
