Equipment

  • 1 Altar to perform spells on
  • 1 Pen to write the name of the gossiper on the paper

Ingredients

  • 1 Black Candle for banishing and protection
  • 1 White Candle for purification and spirituality
  • 1 Sheet Spell Paper for the written word and communication
  • 1 Jar with a Tight-Fitting Lid for containment and restriction
  • 1 Red String or Ribbon for binding
  • 1 pinch Rosemary for protection and purification
  • 1 pinch Salt for protection and purification
  • 1 pinch Cayenne Pepper for banishing and protection
  • 1 clove Garlic for banishing and protection
  • Vinegar for souring and decay

Instructions
 

Preparations for Conducting the Spell:

  • Take a cleansing bath before performing the spell to purify yourself.

Prep the Tools and Altar:

  • Gather all the necessary tools and ingredients.
  • Arrange the candles on the altar in a triangle shape, with the black candle at the top, the white candle on the left, and the jar on the right.
  • Place the piece of paper and pen in front of you.
  • Sprinkle some salt, cayenne pepper, and rosemary around the candles.
  • Crush a clove of garlic and place it in the jar with some vinegar.

Perform the Spell:

  • Light the white candle and visualize a shield of protection around you and recite the following:
    "I call upon the power and protection of the ancestors to keep me safe from harm."
  • Hold the pen and write the name of the gossiper on the piece of paper.
  • Light the black candle and visualize the gossiper's tongue being bound. Say,
    "I summon the underworld Hermes, and I command Dionysus and Persephone to bind the tongue of [name of the gossiper] and prevent them from spreading harmful rumors or gossip."
  • Fold the piece of paper three times and tie it with the red string or ribbon.
  • Place the paper in the jar with the garlic and vinegar.
  • Seal the jar with the tight-fitting lid.

Closing the Spell:

  • Thank Hermes, Dionysus, and Persephone for their help.
  • Ground yourself by visualizing roots growing from your feet into the ground.
  • Extinguish the candles.

Cleanup:

  • Bury the jar in the ground or hide it away in a dark place and recite this incantation:
    "As I bury/hide this jar, let the whispers fade afar.
    In the earth/darkness, let it stay, and silence reign both night and day.
    Bound by time, by earth, by night, cease the gossip, end the spite.
    By my power, so mote it be, let silence fall, and set us free."
